City Developments Ltd (CDL) partners with Foodness Asia Pte Ltd at the CDL EHS Sports Challenge 2019 event for migrant workers from CDL’s construction contractors, namely, Ssangyong, Unison, Kajima, and Woh Hup.
More than 300 participants displayed tenacity and sportsmanship, as they competed in a series of matches, which included a tug-of-war, a human wagon race, a ‘hamster wheel’ race, a sack race, and a relay run.
CDL selected Foodness to provide 200 packs of 2kg fortified Ponni rice.
A study done by the National University of Singapore found that migrant workers in Singapore suffer from malnutrition, as reported in the Today newspaper on 11 June 2015, Catered Food for Workers Needs More Regulation, Urge Researchers.
